Subaru BRZ Has Advanced Car Security System And Features

The Subaru BRZ, since its launch, has been hailed by car enthusiasts all over the globe as the holy grail of affordable sports coupes. It is the perfect daily driver that can also be taken to the tracks on weekends! If one wants to buy a car from a separate manufacturer that offers the same feel and feedback as the BRZ then the closest they can get to the Subie is through the Mazda Miata. Anyway, we won’t be ranting about the Miata as we already did that.

This blog in the following sections will focus on everything Subaru is offering in the 2025 BRZ.

Let’s get into all of that now, shall we?

So what’s Subaru offering in the 2025 BRZ?

The BRZ 2025 iteration now comes with a Sport mode. Previously, this feature was only available in the automatic trims of the BRZ. What does the Sport Mode do to the BRZ, when engaged? Well, the Sport Mode sharpens the overall response of the car’s throttle body.

What other unique aspects are being offered in the 2025 BRZ?

The 2025 iteration of the BRZ is offered with black microsuede seats (in the Limited models) as well as red leather accents with red contrast stitching. The car also sports an Active Sound Control system which brings the sound of the engine from the engine bay to the cabin of the car!

The engine, transmission, and performance of the 2025 BRZ

The 2025 iteration of the BRZ would continue to be powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter boxer engine. The motor is tuned to produce 184 pound-feet of torque and 228 horsepower which are sent to the rear wheels of the car by a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Please note that Subaru decided to offer the 2025 BRZ with manual transmissions from the get-go and automatic transmissions as options!

The latest iteration of the BRZ has a dry weight of 2843 pounds – a tad bit heavier than the outgoing model but still on the lighter side when compared with new-age sports cars. The car offers impressive steering feedback to the driver and one feels confident while tackling corners at high speeds. In terms of suspension setting, the 2025 BRZ offers a stiff ride.

All trims of the BRZ come factory-fitted with a limited-slip rear differential, 17-inch wheels (on the premium trims)/ 18-inch wheels (on the limited trims). The TS trim BRZ comes equipped with upgraded brakes and a track-tuned suspension system.

What’s the interior of the 2025 BRZ like?

The interior of the BRZ is driver-centric. It has a 2+2 seating configuration and the cabin oozes sportiness. The car is packed with modern technology. From the factory, the car is equipped with a 7.0-inch fully digital gauge cluster.

The point of attraction in the digital instrument cluster is the tachometer which transforms into a linear graph whenever the track mode is engaged in the car.

The front seats are heavily bolstered which does a great job to keep the driver and the co-driver secured in their respective places especially when entering and exiting corners at high speeds.

The car is offered with a decent trunk that has a total capacity of 4 liters! But fold down the rear seats and you just increased the cargo space of your BRZ by several folds – wink, wink!

2025 Subaru BRZ advanced car security system and features

The 2025 iteration of the BRZ is offered with the STARLINK Safety and Security services. Apart from acting as a comprehensive car tracker, the car also comes with emergency services access. Additional features include –

  • Roadside Assistance
  • Collision Notification
  • Remote Services
  • Stolen Vehicle Recovery
  • Vehicle Diagnostic Alerts, etc.

Subaru Starlink tracker GPS system also lets BRZ owners set geozones, custom speeding, and curfew alerts.

Subaru BRZ safety features

The 2025 iteration of the Subaru BRZ is equipped with the EyeSight driver-assistance system. The system offers a host of safety features that include –

  • Forward-collision warning
  • Front automated emergency braking and
  • Lane-departure warning.

The best part is that the above-mentioned features come as standard offerings in all BRZ trims. The automatic transmission-equipped BRZs are equipped with adaptive cruise control as well as rear automated braking.

Pros and cons of the 2025 Subaru BRZ at a glance

Pro

  • Handling is on par with true-bred sports cars
  • Steering offers impressive feedback to the hands of the driver
  • The engine offers enough power on daily commutes and tracks!

Cons

  • The interior fit and finish could have been better
  • The back seats are not usable. They can be used as a parcel shelf, to be honest!

The BRZ is a great car for new and seasoned car owners

The BRZ is a great sports coupe for singles and couples. The pricing of the car is pretty decent as well. Hence, you can easily pay off the car in a short while without going bankrupt! Additionally, compared to the Subaru WRZ, the BRZ is pretty hardy! One would not need to baby the car, at all! If this was not convincing enough for you, then remember that the BRZ has a low centre of gravity and has an impressively programmed steering offering ample feedback as per the speed of the car. In short, the BRZ is fun to drive, easy on the pocket thanks to its low ownership costs, and looks cool. If you want to buy the car, go for it! However, don’t forget to use a tracker for your BRZ in a bid to keep it safe from thieves and unauthorized towing. Additionally, choose a tracker that is powered by the OBD2 port as that is the best place to put tracker on car.
